The minimum wage is currently $12.50 an hour. The National Government recently reviewed this rate and decided to raise it by ... hold your breath ...25c!
The minimum wage needs to rise to at least $15 per hour, and then be fixed at two thirds of the average wage (which currently would make it just over $16 an hour).
