FOODSTUFFS PROTEST ACTION
PLANNED PROTEST ACTION - CHRISTCHURCH
SATURDAY 5th 12.30 - 4.30pm
Union members, social justice activists and CTU Local Affiliates are invited to join Foodstuffs NDU members on Saturday 5th DECEMBER to further protest the lack of progress in bargaining. Their employment agreement has expired 9 months ago and Foodstuffs South Island has consistently failed to negotiate a pay increase with the Union despite recording a $144 million dollar net profit.
To make matters worse the company illegally suspended members in Christchurch two weeks ago and prevented them from starting work for a period after strike action had been lifted. Over $5,000 in wages are owed.
Affiliates are welcome to come aboard the bus or meet up at the planned 30 minute demos.
The Union will be providing a bus for members to hop on board at the following points.
The Bus route protests and pick up points are as follows;
12.30pm - Outside Papanui Primary school - Cranford Street
1.00pm - Pick up Hornby members outside Foodstuffs Hornby DC site
1.30pm - 30 minute Protest outside New World Halswell
2.00pm - Bus departs to Wainoni

Remember this bus trip will be outside work time and family are welcome to come along for the ride. We will also invite other Unions to come along and even members of the media if they want a free bus ride and learn more about your fight against low pay .
